RETURNS FOR THE THIRD AND LAST TIME IN 2008 TO DOUGLAS COUNTY SPEEDWAY
The Eighth Race of the 2008 Championship Season And Just Five Points separates The Top Three Drivers

Everett, WA – July 21, 2008 - The American Speed Association/Northwest Sprintcar Racing Association (ASA/NSRA) returns to Douglas County Speedway for their eighth race of the thirteen race 2008 championship season in Roseburg, OR with the running of Art Pollard Memorial presented by Taco Bell, Saturday July 26th. 

Expected at Douglas County Speedway are current points leader Justin Mack in the #17 car, second in points Jake Mann by just four points in the #51 car, Matt Hein in the #98h car currently third in points and only five points out of first, returning 2007 champion Andy Alberding, fourth in points in the #76 car, Sierra Jackson in the #25j fifth in points, Cory Lockwood sixth in points in the #99r car, R. J. Fronsman seventh in points in the #25z car, Greg Middendorf eighth in points in the #4 car, Adam Roduner ninth in points in the #82 car.  Others expected to compete in the Art Pollard Memorial are Rick Brown, five time ASA/NSRA champion, Jim Brock in the #37 car, Brett Smith in the #9 car, and Tony Thomas in the #57 car.   Third and fourth place in season points Matt Hein and Andy Alberding got together three weeks ago during the A Main at Wenatchee Valley’s Super Oval with resulting damage to both cars.  Both teams have three weeks to get their cars readied for the Art Pollard Memorial race.  Both cars will be untested, seeing the track for the first time July 26th during their practice sessions.  Both cars need to be right to stay in the hunt for the season championship!
